Clarissa Wadley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Philadelphia, PA, with almost a decade in the mental health field. She received her BA in Political Science from Spelman College and MSW from Temple University and Clarissa understands that political science and social work intersect at social justice.

Through Black Girls Healing, Co., Clarissa provides therapy, life coaching, and mental health consultation services, using solution focused and trauma informed techniques to address concerns for individuals, communities, and organizations. Clarissa uses CBT, reparenting, and other techniques to address issues of trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, mother wounds, codependency, relationship issues,, church hurt and other mental and emotional health concerns.

Her counseling style is compassionate, empathetic and collaborative. She believes that every individual is the expert in their own life and capable of healing and growth. Clarissa also understands that we all sometimes need someone to identify our blindspots and challenge our cognitive distortions. She is honored to be able to play that role in the lives of the individuals and organizations she gets to serve.
